Malpractice Lawsuits is a problem in keeping general healthcare affordable. GE – Healthcare was hitting this problem head on using a combination of cameras, computer hardware, and software to track and monitor movements within a hospital room. GE had vision for how to minimize the number and impact of malpractice claims by monitoring and directing the actions of practitioners in real time within a patient’s room.

Even though GE had the hardware and software requirements laid out, they needed guiding in how to implement the open source middleware to achieve the optimal through put for their high performance, highly available systems. We were called upon to help teach their architects and developers best practices for implementing these open source solutions. Over the course of the engagement, our team worked with them to ensure proper knowledge transfer was being completed. We helped design and architect a system that met the needs of this highly visible implementation project by working one-on-one with each member of their team. Our qualified specialists spent time white-boarding and walking through code to enable their team to fully understand what needs to be completed to be successful. Time was spent analyzing available hardware and software to determine best use of resources for ActiveMQ Messaging. Our consultants laid out capabilities of different topologies available from ActiveMQ, and made recommendations of the best route to take.

GE-Healthcare is well on their way in providing a highly available, scalable, and efficient solution to hospitals worldwide that could drastically reduce the cost of healthcare thanks to our team that put them on the right path to be successful.
